MAAL HIJRAH 1432H ; hopes,resolutions and etc.

  Salam Maal Hijrah all. It is a new year celebration according to Muslim year which is based on the date of the  Hijrah meaning migration of Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) from Makkah to Madinah. Maal Hijrah is also known as Awal Muharram. It is the time where people make pledge or trying their very best to renew themselves in various aspects of life with full of determination. May Allah help to facilitate our way and efforts towards good. InsyaAllah (:

   What is it Maal Hijrah all about? This kind of question often played in most people mind especially Muslim since most of them are more excited welcoming new year eve rather than to know the history and significance of Awal Muharram. I am sure that what most of us know is, it is public holiday. Same goes to me. As a matter of fact, it is actually a time for us to hijrah or in other word to migrate ourselves from bad to good and also from good to better person. Not to say that we are mean or really bad but in simple words to be a better person in any aspects that we want to. Drastic changes are impossible to be done but we can try to change bit by bit as we develop ourselves in many situations which involves the society. In fact, people around us can help us to be a better person by acting as a mirror that reflect ourselves in every inch of ourselves either in a good way or bad way. In other words to say it, muhasabah diri.

        

   However, it is true that changes are difficult to be done in a short period. Always bear in mind that a small steps can make a big changes in your life. It is not a waste to try and make an attempt for it ; it will be a waste IF we never try and make an attempt for it. Al least, we should give a try first. It is for our own benefits. Perhaps it can help us to pursue our journey of life in a proper and good way. Even though it is a small migration but Allah highly regarded it. As cited from Hadith 40 :

On the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, who said : I heared the messenger of Allah salla Allah u alihi wa sallam say : 

"Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated." related by Bukhari and Muslim.

   What's on my mind for hopes and resolutions this year? A LOT of hopes and resolutions. But let it be secrets between me and Allah SWT. Hopefully I can try to achieve what I desire. May Allah bless me and all of us. Salam Maal Hijrah 1432 (:        

The M Day

 

  Yeah, it is Monday. The first day of the week where people go to work, school and so on. Except for certain places which Sunday is their first day of the week such as Kedah, Kelantan and other few states. Some people said that Monday is a boring day as well as the day where people are not feeling like doing stuffs after two days off. Is it? A lecturer once said that most of students hate Monday as we all know it is a Malas day. I think she said it in humor as she also feel that she dislike Monday because of this is the day where she felt less energetic to do her work.  

   As for me it is just the same. A day is just a day. Except for holiday because I am eager to hop on the bus and excited to go back to my own house.Yesterday was a full-packed day since I thought our group will be presenting our slides on Syariah jurisdiction and cases. Sigh. All of us had prepared and memorize almost all facts that are needed to be said. While, I am fully ready with my case to support the arguments. Lucky, it is not our turn to present. The lecturer had done a mistake by telling us it was today. Alhamdulilah,another week to prepare and ready for our presentation. In the next post I will tell you about my factual-headache presentation.

   The next class was Critical Thinking ; BEL 313 and MUET Preparation ; BEL 260. In BEL 313 class, we learn about reasoning. Sort of mathematical reasoning in Form 4 Mathematics. It have premises and conclusion. Deductive and Inductive and so on. On the other hand, in BEL 260, we have been asked to do a mock MUET test on Reading component. So far we had done writing. 2 papers to go that is Listening and Speaking. Anyway,it is still a tiring day. At night, I attended an event for Awal Muharram in Surau Mahsuri. The event end on 10.30pm after a tazkirah by Ustazah Zahirah. I went back and go through lecture notes before I went to sleep at 12.20am. Goodbye Monday (:     

talk speak chat and so on

   

   People always talk speak chat or whatever you call it all the time. Some people may die due to silence of not talking for whole day ( it is just a myth I created a few seconds ago ). HAHAHA. But it is true since some people just can't stop talking. Whatever it is, talking, speak and etc are require in our whole life in order to share opinions, having a conversation, sharing problems and so on. Having a person to share everything with you can help you solve some problems and he or she might have different perspective from you on certain matters. This would be interesting as you know the world are not revolve around you only. You get to know other person thought and point of view in other aspects of situation.

   I got a phone call from a friend, Nadiayatulaida that is in Johor Matriculation now. We had a chit chat for few minutes. Last few days, I commented with my homeroom advisor, Ustazah Ishqi on Facebook. I never thought that a little talk can show how a person miss a bit of her or his life. So do I. I miss my school year in Mersing as well as Kelana Jaya. Precisely, I miss everything of it. The bitter and sweet, all of it. Of course I miss my ex room mate, FARHANA FUAD and the one and only FATIMAH ZAHARAH but I talk less with Farhana Fuad since she is quite busy with her matriculation life. I talked with Fatimah Zaharah almost all the time. Non stop. While for others, I miss you too. The Bimasaktian, Etika Homeroom, MJSC buddies, KJians, Izzati and all of you! It will take a lot of time for me to mention all your name here. You know who you are guys. 

   Sometimes, people that we think are less close and clique with us will never remember us. However, it is just an assumption. One of my friend from primary school always make sure that she will send me a Hari Raya card every year and letters although sometimes I forgot to reply her cards and letters. Sorry Haslina. On other time, the people that never crossed our mind text or call us with no specific reason. That is what friends are. No matter it is a close or so-called friends, they still have the same title ; FRIENDS. 

   Some part in ourself miss all those moments. It is true whether you realize it or not. They might be far away from you but the friendship bond will never make you feel the distances. Maybe some of them are not your friend anymore, in other words your foe or so-called friend depends on what you label them. BUT it still carry the same meaning and for sure they have exist in your life before. As for me, I miss all of you whether you are my friends or so-called friends because you have become a part of my life (:

The Second Week

   Most of the classes are cancel this week due to the absence of the lecturers. Bored. That was my first impression. The lecturers thought it is a good news for us, it is BUT in other words it is mean that there will be more and more replacement class to do in future. Sigh  -.-'

   The second week run smoothly as any other week. For sure it is quite boring and dull since the minutes feel like ticking very slowly and it feels like an endless day to go. BORED BORED and BORED. I am eager for the mid semester break to come as soon as possible. Please come as fast as you can. :D The other class are on as usual. We have done arguments in critical thinking class, half lecture on written and unwritten law and finished 2 lectures for psychology as well as library subjects. For sure, next week will be pack with presentation for BEL 260 and assignments for tutorial. Anyway,it is still a great week with food poisoning and so on. Till then. Adios!

   A big welcome to the month of November and school holiday. It is holiday folks! Time to break a leg. As for me, it is time to cope with the new semester that have only started last 2 weeks. Well, it is now the time most of the Malaysians and foreigners have craving for ; THE YEAR END SALE.

    There are still plenty of time for us to shop till death. I was at Central Square, Sungai Petani accompanied with my room mate. The Year End Sale heat in Kedah are not as hot as in Kuala Lumpur. The choices are not as many as in Kuala Lumpur. I have to admit that but some stuffs do catch my attention and almost make me made up my mind to buy it. At last, I only bought a novel that is Eat Pray Love. Luckily, on 23rd December is my mid semester break. I have 9 days to go around Kuala Lumpur and shop like hell. HAHAHA. Whatever it is, this kind of situation might occurs in most buyers and I believe that the discounts offer make people go crazy and buy as much as they can. Think twice and be a good buyer although you can afford it. Because you might end up buying something that in the end you won't even use and wear it.

   What is more, quality is more important that quantity. It is not a waste to spend on something branded that provide you with quality as long as you will make use of it later on. If you can't afford buying anything expensive,its okay. Make sure you plan your budget on what to buy so that you will not exceed the amount of money you have. It is better for you to have plan before buying anything. Lat but not least, don't easily get indulge with all the discounts and stuffs that being offer. The marketing strategy often make users like us being fool easily. Be careful guys.
